... caffine after about 4 in the afternoon can lead to sleepless nights. Why wasn't I told this before!! I gave up the tea and slept like a baby for the next 3 years. Then, whilst in university my flatmate offered to make me a cup of tea. 'No no' I said 'can't you see how late it is!'. 'But this is decaf' she said. Well I was skeptical. I thought it couldn't possibly work. When she made me a cup I sipped it tentatively, fearing a sleepless night ahead, but I was pleasantly surprised when I went straight to sleep. ...more

A couple of months ago I was having trouble sleeping. I thought about the caffeine I was drinking. Now I’m not a coffee drinker so that was ok. That just left tea. But surely there isn’t much caffeine in a cuppa? Well there’s not. There are approximately 40 to 50mg of caffeine per cup of tea. Still I thought I’d try Tetley’s Decaffeinated Tea. So I managed to remember next time I was shopping to get some. A box of 80 tea bags cost me £1.76, which is more expensive than the ‘normal’ Tetley Tea at £1.37. Still I thought it would be worth it if I could still have my tea and not the caffeine. **HISTORY OF TEA** Tea was first discovered over 5,000 ...  Read the complete review

For as long as I could remember I had been given a cup of tea just before I went to bed. It was comforting to have a steaming hot mug of tea before I dozed off...except that I didn't doze off, but stayed awake for hours on end. This reached its peak when I was about 16, on the verge of my GCSEs. Every night I was awake until 2 or 3 in the morning (which didn't make for a very pretty sight the next day in school!!) It was driving me mad. I put it down to stress, but in reality I'd always had trouble getting to sleep and really envied those who could sleep within seconds of their head hitting the pillow (they always tend to be the ones who snore the loudest, why is ...  Read the complete review

Around 14 years ago, when I started getting various unexplained symptoms, such as feeling unwell all the time, tired, aching muscles etc. I went to see a homeopath to have an allergy test. She was recommended to me by a friend and I eagerly went along to take the test. To cut a long story short, it turned out later after various medical tests at local hospitals that I had ME, and still do - I'll write about homeopathy in another opinion, and I've already written about ME. She found that amongst many other things I was allergic to, caffeine came out near the top. She advised me to stop drinking ordinary tea and to change to decaffeinated. I was also ...  Read the complete review

i tried these t-bags when i was pregnant as my tea intake for the day was sky high and i had been told to cut down on my caffine levels.at first i was a bit sceptical,i thought they would be like drinking cozy milky water, boy was i wrong, although these were not as strong tasting as tetley one cup,i still enjoyed a great cuppa using them, and i felt better drinking the same amounts of tea and knowing i was cutting out the caffine,i can honestly say im back to my usual caffine t-bags but probably would not notice if i was given a cuppa from someone else and they used ...  Read the complete review
