Advantages: Lovely creamy taste!

Disadvantages: None!

I am a bit of a tea-monster when it comes to the good old cuppa, but recently I found that I was getting quite bad headaches, so I assumed this was from the caffeine overload. To combat this I switched to decaf tea, which although tasted a bit funny it did the job. Then a girl at work brought in a box of redbush tea, and offered me one to try. Well that was it, I was sold!! It has a better taste than tea, I'd say its quite a sweet and smooth taste and the colour is more creamy than regular tea. I went straight out and bought a box from my local Tesco's which cost me £1.60 for 40 bags, plus they came in a special tin which looks exactly like the box but I guess is designed to keep them a bit fresher.
The redbush (or rooibos) plant that the tea is made from grows in South Africa, and is naturally caffeine free (so good news for the headaches!). The tea is also rich in antioxidants and low in tannins.
You can have the redbush tea with or without milk (I prefer it with) and you can add sugar to taste. But I dont think you need much sugar as its quite a sweet tea - I normally have one sugar in regular tea but can go without for Redbush. The box advises to brew for 3 - 5 minutes, the longer the better as the longer the bag is in there the more antioxidants get released and the better it is for you!
They do this tea is boxes of 40's and 80's, and it can be bought from most supermarkets.
Well worth a try if you are a tea drinker, it really is a refreshing change from normal tea!

Summary: Well worth a try :)
