Advantages: Loevely tasting, no Caffeine, full of Antioxidants, can drink like normal tea
Disadvantages: Quite a small box with only packs of 40 available.
As with everyone I can think of (apart from my mate Nikki) I just love a good old brew. Over the past few years though I have started to drink more and more coffee which I have wanted to stop as it has too much caffeine.
Last Friday Scarlet baby and I accompanied my sister to the National Wedding Show in Birminghams NEC where the Home Livings show was also being held. On the way out of the Wedding show we were handed a freebee bag from the home livings show with quite a few goodies inside.
One of the goodies was Four bags of Tetley Redbush Tea. I have always been a Tetley Tea drinker and will not change for the world so I thought I would give the Redbush a go. I have seen the adverts before with the african lady shouting at the animals that people are trying to sleep. I have since bought a pack in morrisons for £1.00 on offer for a pack of 40.
The box itelf is red with 'Tetley' written across the front over a blue background and the 'redbush' is written in white. Underneath the name it states the Tea is naturally caffeine free, as hydrating as water and rich in Antioxidants. On the back of the box it advises the Tea is grown only in South Africa for the sunshine.
As it boasts the Tea will help me feel 'full of vitality' throughtout the day and will stimulate my senses I would definately give it a try. So I followed the instructions on the back.
For the Perfect Brew ~ Enjoy Tetley Redbush just like your normal tea. Add boiling water to the bag and infuse for 3 - 5 minutes. The longer it brews, the more antioxidants are released. Drink it with or without milk or sugar.
I left the bag in the cup for about 3 minutes as I was now dying for a brew after reading the whole package. I added 2 sugars and milk as I would with my normal cup and sat down to enjoy. With the first sip I certainly knew it was different but the taste was lovely.
I just can't describe what the taste is (one of those you will have to try) but it is very nice indeed. Even after several cups my mouth was not dry and dehydrated as with drinking coffee. Plus without all the Caffeine I will have a good nights sleep tonight.
Redbush is definately one I will be drinking from now one.
Summary: I will not be going back to caffeine tea!
