Mild was always classed as an old mans' drink...but, I'm not an old man (at least I wasn't last time I looked) and I still enjoy it. It's my dad's fault that I tried this drink; he has a hiatius hernia and some bitters aggravate his condition. We were searching for a drink that he could have without any ill effects; Theakstons Mild has since become one of his favourites - we thought it would be polite to join him, and now it is a firm favourite. The mildness of the flavour makes it the ideal choice for him and the tastiness made it a great choice for us too! When a Mild is good it is very, very good, but when it is bad it can be horrid ...
