Advantages: Tastes nice

Disadvantages: Got bits which might not be for everyone

I was in a rush going out of the door into town the other day so forgot to take my normal bottle of water. When I suggested that I buy one my mother in law handed me this.

The juice is mde up of mango and orange and is 100% pure juice; nothing has been added or taken away and all of the sugars are the natural stuff that occur within these fruits. The small 330ml bottle counts as one of your five a day and it recommends that you shake it before you drink.

The mixture is very orange and on shaking it a little, I noticed that it was particularly thick for an orange juice. There wasn't much of a smell to it which I found quite surprising considering a real orange fills the room with its scent.

The first thing I noticed when I took a gulp was the fact that it contained 'bits' so if you prefer a smoother juice then steer clear of this one. There were lots of little shreds of skin which I find quite nice and that explains why the mixture looks quite thick when shaking it.

The next thing I noticed was the taste. Now I was expecting a nice Haiwian concotion but all I could taste was the oranges. I suppose the whole thing was a bit sweeter than the average orange juice which was probably due to the mangos but there was no way there was a definite taste of mangos. On further thought, a mango has a much less prominent taste than an orange so I suppose the orange would cancel out the mango in something like this.

Although this drink wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be, I would probably purchase it myself but stick to the good old fashioned orange flavour. I particularly enjoyed it and found it to be very refreshing and filling due to the lumps that I encountered along the way.

If you like a lumpy orange drink that is slightly sweeter than usual then try this one!

Each 330ml bottle contains 149 calories, 0.3g of fat and a whopping 31.4g of sugar but like I said before this is what occurs naturally.

Summary: A nice drink
