Advantages: Tastes great, real oranges

Disadvantages: Expensive

As far as orange juice goes, I'm not usually that fussy. I'll quite happily sit there with a carton of Tesco Value orange juice and not think twice about it, ncie and refreshed. Yet every now and then, along comes something like Tropicana that reminds me that there is a higher quality OJ out there, and that this may well be it!

Tropicana is one of those drinks that we usually only have on special occasions, mainly due to the price. Originating from America, I suppose the main thing about this is that it is made using orange juice that isn't from concentrate: it's the actual juice you're getting in the carton.

Taste wise, it really does hit the spot. I like the smooth taste it gives you, and the variety of different types of it mean that you can have orange juice with bits of orange in, which is my personal favourite of this range.

Tropicana has a fuller feel to it, with the gloopy nature of the juice making you think you are actually getting the real thing as opposed to it being watered down and flavourings added, which is the case with a lot of other OJs. I suppose the main thing here is that I'm quite happy to actually drink whatever OJ I come across, but every now and then it's really nice to have a top quality OJ, which Tropicana does have.

Price wise, it usually costs close on £2 for a litre, although you can often get it on offer, especially with the run up to Christmas about to start: prime discount time! The price is really the only negative though, as even the packaging is user friendly, with a top on it as if it was a bottle ensuring it can be resealed once opened. The only small niggle with this is that you often can't get the last few drops to make their way to the opening.

Overall, this is a top quality OJ that is lovely. I'm more than happy to drink whatever OJ is available, but every now and then it's nice to have something like this instead, for a special change.

Summary: Top quality orange juice
