Tuborg what can i say, probably the best beer to come out of denmark since Carlsberg. Though not approved by the Danish royal family, It is highly approved off by me, the rich clear taste of this larger is refreshing especially after a hard day at work. Available in new fangled ring pull bottles which are especially cool, firstly as no bottle opener is needed and secondly you can wear it as a fashionable ring to impress your friends and family. As well as being available in 500ml Cans and the better tasting 330ml bottles, it is also available in some pubs most famously in Weatherspoons on draft which unleashes its full clear Danish taste. Many moons ago, when I was a young lad in the Navy, I got a visit to Copenhagen. Of course one of the things we always did, was to organise a brewery visit, and this brewery does them like most of them do. The visit was just the same as any other trip of this type, just a quick bimble around looking at a production line of millions of bottles, seeing fermentation vessels etc. The main purpose of course was the tasting. Following on from my review of Seabrook crinkle cut crisps yesterday I have decided to review another of the things we had whilst watching the Manchester United v Chelsea in the Champions league final and that was Tuborg lager. Here's how it came about. About a couple of hours before the match started a friend and myself went up the road to a local off licence to pick up some more beers.
