Personally I feel other reviews about this larger are way off the mark; It's definitely a 4 star beer if you ask me. Me and my friend were talking one day about beer, as you do. We are both keen travellers and the conversation drifted towards what interesting beers we'd tried overseas. My friend mentioned Tusker as being a very good beer that he tried in Kenya whilst working on a development project there. So a few months ago I stumbled across it in the world beer section in tescos for £1.46 a bottle. So I decided to buy a couple and give it a wirl. If, like me, you keep in mind the possibility of scribbling a few well chosen words about a product or purchase, supermarket shopping becomes a voyage of discovery. When you keep your eyes open all sorts of oddities pop up that you might otherwise have ignored or not even noticed. Such was this label – a collection of half a dozen bottles looking somewhat forlorn and abandoned at the end of the beer shelf at one such emporium. The name and the label conjures up exotic locations, the Serengeti, the Masai Mara, wild frontiers, Kilimanjaro, big cats, elephants. Surely its contents will exude with similar properties. When a good friend of mine came back from visiting her family in Kenya she brought me back a present. I was expecting a small traditional wooden carving of a local. I did get that, but also 8 tins of Tusker Lager. She had put them in her hand luggage and was now cursing me for asking for something as she had struggled both on and off the aeroplane! I have never seen it for sale in the UK although I know you can purchase it here in 500ml bottles and I think tins as well. My cans are a smaller 340mls each (Cola Can Size).
