I don't usually like blackcurrant, it is too bitter for the flavour to come through or too highly sweetened when used an an ingredient. I loathe honey. The smell makes me heave and the taste makes me pull faces. So why would I entitle this opinion so? Simple. For some reason unbeknownst to me, twinings have managed to produce an absolutely delicious, refreshing fruit tea without the yukky bitterness usually associated with blackcurrants. I am a big fan of blackcurrent as a flavouring, it has a strong fruity flavour but it isn't too sweet. If you habitually drink Ribenna, you may be attracted to blackcurrent fruit teas, and then surprised by how they taste, because they tase exactly like Ribenna without all the added sweeteners. Fruits are not meant to be sugery, they combine bitterness and sweetenss in varying proportions. Fruit teas are much the same. If you want a blackcurrent flavoured drink that isn't gonig to rot your teeth, give Twinnings tea a go - you may need a while to get used to the absence of sugagry stuff, but the taste is great and its better for your teeth. ...
