This flavoured tea is like a cross between a herbal tea and a fruit tea: it provides the lovely taste of a flavour tea, but the ginseng it contains provides revival The Company Twinings has been established since 1706, making and selling tea of all kinds. They now sell over 200 teas in over 100 countries. This flavoured tea is part of their FruitBliss infusions range. The Tea and my opinion I have to say that this tea, although I like blackcurrant, did not taste as nice as I expected it to. There was a nice subtle aftertaste of vanilla, but the combination did not sit well on my palate, and I did not finish the drink. The aroma ... Read the complete review

This is a Twinings tea that I regularly drink. I suppose it is a cross between a fruit tea and an herbal tea really. How I drink it- As with most herbal and fruit teas they recommend that you allow the tea bag to infuse for 2-3 minutes in hot water and drink it without milk. This is a fruity tea so I don't add honey or sugar to it as I do with some herbal teas as the blackcurrant too my palate is sweet enough. I allow water in the kettle to cool a couple of minutes before adding it too my cup and then after it has infused for 2-3 minutes I add cold water so that it is possible too drink straight away. Though they say to let it infuse for 2-3 minutes I ... Read the complete review

I bought this tea recently because I was keen to try an alternative tea for the evenings. I was attracted to the packaging because it was brightly coloured and stood out on the shelf, but also wasn't too 'in your face'! As you can see from the front of the box, the Twinings name is predominant. I like other Twinings teas and I trust the brand, and I like their adverts on television so I thought I'd give this a go! Inside the box the tea bags are individually wrapped in paper packets. I presume this is to keep them fresh and I always recycle the packets (although I don't know if you're supposed to, I don't see why not!) so them being individually wrapped is ... After having been mildly dissapointed by the Cranberry, Raspberry and Elderflower infusion by Twinings last week, I am slightly more tentative about trying this one. The first thing I noticed was how many more ingredients this blend has than most of Twinings' others, and how far down in the list the three main flavours are. The bag smells interestingly tea-like, but when boiling water is added, the juicy fragrance of blackcurrant comes to the fore. The vanilla is present but mild. I'm not really sure what ginseng should smell like, but there is little else obvious in the scent. On tasting, the blackcurrant is definitely the most prominent ... Read the complete review

This is my all time favourite fruit tea. The blackcurrent makes it fruity, the vanilla adds a sweetness, and the ginseng lifts the body and the spirit. Its a far better stimulant than caffeine, having a more gentle effect and far fewer side effects. As with all fruit teas from Twinings, you can get it in any decent supermarket. Prepaire by soaking tea bags in boiling water for about five minutes. It really is important to give fruit teas plenty of time to brew. I know of many people who complain that fruit teas don't taste of anything. If you only leave them in water for a minute or two, as you would with ordinary tea, the results are uninspiring.
