Advantages: A really nice cup of coffee

Normally associated with tea, Twinings are now producing four coffee blends.

Rich
A blend of Sumatran Lintung, Kenyan Highland and Brazilian coffee beans, which is described as sophisticated and with a rich smooth taste. Strength: 3

Intense
A blend of Brazilian, Zambian and Kenyan coffee beans, which is described as enlivening and with a full bodied taste. Strength: 5

Mellow
A blend of Colombian, Kenyan and Costa Rican beans, which is described as subtle and with a delicate and aromatic taste. Strength: 2

Decaffeinated
A blend of Ethiopian Sidamo, Brazilian and Colombian coffee beans, with a refreshing rounded taste. Strength: 4

Packaging

The coffee is ground and vaccum packed inside a foil bag which is inside a rather nice tin.

Although the tin should keep the coffee pretty fresh once the foil bag has been opened, I tend to remove the bag from the tin, roll it over to close it, and wrap an elastic band around it so that it stays closed and airtight. Then I keep it in the freezer, so that the coffee remains fresh, and use it straight from frozen whenever I make a jug of coffee.

The Taste

So far I've tasted two of the four blends, and enjoyed them both, but the Rich Blend was definitely my favourite. It was very smooth and rich, and there was no bitterness about it at all. I like my coffee to be strong, but not too strong, and I like it to have some body. This blend ticked all the boxes. It was everything that it promised to be, and I really enjoyed drinking it.

I would recommend this coffee without hesitation.
