Twinings Fresh and Fruity
Cranberry, Raspberry and Elderflower
Twinings describe this tea as a refreshing red berry infusion with a hint of elderflower. This Fresh and Fruity range are part of their Infusions teas, inspired by truly mouthwatering fruits. As I love anything fruity I decided to give these a go and I really liked the sound of the fruit flavours but know from experience with Twinings that they don't always taste overly fruity which is what I like.
Twinings say that they believe the secret of great taste lies in the ingredients you choose to work with. That's why they've used all natural ingredients and nothing else in their infusions.
When you first smell this tea you are hit with the sweet smelling raspberry and then on first taste you can also taste the sharpness of the cranberries coming through but it's definitely the raspberry that is the dominant flavour and taste in this tea. When you add the hot water to this tea bag you get an immediate bright red colour to the tea which suggests to me that there are definitely lots of fruit bits in this to make it turn that colour.
Twinings call it a zesty tea and it definitely has a zest to it and a bit of a different taste to most teas you find. They say that it's a great way to give your senses a lift.
A refreshing taste is probably the best way to describe this tea. It is quite light and does not have a heavy fruit taste which I like. I also like the fact that they promote this as quite a healthy tea, and say it's a great way to refresh and rehydrate your body. It has no added sugar so this is another great healthy option and is also naturally caffeine free so for those of you watching your caffeine this product will be great.
It's best to drink this tea without milk as I think adding milk would totally ruin the flavour.
A box comes with 20 bags inside it and costs £0.92. The box is pink with a picture of loose cranberries and raspberries on the front which makes it very easy to spot. In my opinion a nice zesty, relaxing tea.
