... invigorating," and I can buy that (quite literally). It gives the morning enough extra zip to get going, and it's good any time of day that requires a bit of oomph to get the adrenaline flowing. Conversely, it's also good for a quiet settling down in the evening. It helps keep me awake in front of my favorite BBC America programs, ensuring that randon nodding in front of the TV does not contribute to a poor night's sleep. Finding Twinings at a hotel or restaurant is also an assurance of quality--not just of the tea but ...more

Premium Review Twinings English Breakfast: A Tea Lover's Tea (1095 words)

I've long been a lover of British teas. Whenever I come back home from that "small island," it's a sure bet my luggage will contain a restock on my standard favorites that are either hard to find or unavailable here in the States. There is, however, one brand among my favorites for which this is not a problem--Twinings. Twinings is easy to find on the shelves of our American supermarkets. As a result, Twinings English Breakfast Tea always has a place in my cupboard. MY RELATIONSHIP WITH TEA First, honesty requires me to admit that I am far from monogomous where tea is concerned. There are many teas with which I take up a dalliance. And ...  Read the complete review

You would imagine that after 300 years in the business that twining might just know a little something about tea, and you would be imagining correctly for they do indeed have a mountain of knowledge to fall back on. Twinings do not just do English breakfast they have a vast election on offer and most of them are available through your supermarket. Being that I ...  Read the complete review

Twinings English Breakfast Tea is the perfect choice for a morning cuppa. I stopped drinking coffee and have since become a tea addict. This is a strong tea from Ceylon and India. It is full-bodied and full of flavour and can be drunk with milk or lemon, although it is best with milk. A pot of this tea takes from 3 to 5 minutes to brew. I find that a full 5 minutes gives a strong but not bitter cup of tea. The smell is strong and pure and there is no scenty aroma as there is with many other teas like Earl Grey, for example. Twinings has been a tea merchant since 1706 so you can be sure of the very best quality and blends. They produce a wide range of ...  Read the complete review
