 ... Breakfast tea when the pennies allow .It smells wonderful, tastes fabulous and now winter is fast approaching us, it really warms the cockles too in a morning. This is how tea should look and taste. One warning though - once you have tried it, you won't want to go back!! A highly recommended tea, well done Twinings! Premium Review Twinings English Breakfast: ~ HAVING A CUPPA ~ (1204 words)

~ HAVING A CUPPA ~ Recently I have gone back to the phase of drinking lots of tea. I usually prefer coffee but the last few weeks it has been the tea that I have been craving. At work we have horrible tea in machines so everyone brings in their own tea bags or goes to the café and buys other ones. It is a lot cheaper to go buy a box of tea bags from the shops and keep it on your desk. After finding a box last week I decided to try Twinings. It was funny seeing this appear for this weeks POW as I didn't even look at what box I picked up but it was the English breakfast Tea bags. I had never tried any of the Twinings range before as I am not a huge fan ...  Read the complete review

~~~INTRODUCTION ~~~ I started writing this review yesterda afternoon as Twinings Breakfast Tea Bags are a regular addition to my shopping basket. Half way through writing the review, however, I had to go out to. Whilst in the car Don McLean's "American Pie" came on the radio. I hadn't heard it for ages and instantly found myself singing along. Back at home finishing the review had to wait. There were jobs to done, dinner to prepare and a thanks to my baby son a remote control to find. I'm one of those people who can't relax if I have something I need to finish so whilst chopping up vegetables my mind wandered back to my half finished ...  Read the complete review
Premium Review Twinings English Breakfast: The Kettle!!! (699 words)
Ok, so- it's 5pm, I've just come home from a very long day at work. First things first- the kettle goes on. Awaiting the boiling of the kettle I then do my normal aftershift abseiling, metaphorically speaking. Now, I must say- I do like my tea. I'm an English bird when it comes to tea. Although I do like coffee too, if this has any play in the argument at all. That's if anyone moans at all. The 'mixing' process The kettle's boiled teabag and milk in cup; come on hot water. As soon as the water is poured into the cup I can see the browney redish (is it me or is the colour of tea kind of unknown? liquid mixing with my semi-skimmed milk. ...  Read the complete review
Premium Review Great at any time of the day. (374 words)
I probably went about become a tea drinker in a very roundabout and unexpected way. I had been in Vienna for six months and had been working from home which meant that I was getting through inordinate amounts of black coffee. Amazingly (well the Viennese thought it was amazing!) I was not a tea drinker, but due to the adverse effects the "rocketfuel" coffee was having on me, I decided to give tea a try. I chose Twinings English Breakfast tea, as it was the first thing I found in the cupboard of my flat. It is recommended to be drunk in the morning generally (hence the name!) although I have found that it is great for reviving me at any time of the day ...  Read the complete review
Premium Review Twinings English Breakfast: Breakfast Time Tea (390 words)
It was in 1706 that Thomas Twining began his business as a tea merchant in the London Strand from where the firm has traded continuously ever since. My opinion of Twinings Teas varies a lot depending on the particular blend. Whilst I regard Twinings Earl Grey as still one of the best blends around, many other Twinings varieties leave a lot to be desired, especially some of their herbal fusion teas. In terms of quality Twinings English Breakfast tea falls somewhere in the middle range of popular black teas. I certainly wouldn't describe it as a 'classic'. Twinings English Breakfast tea forms part of the Twinings Classics range which also includes Assam and ...  Read the complete review
