Advantages: Lovely flavour, invigorating, great aroma

Disadvantages: Might not be easy to find

I was at a lovely conference last week where at each break we were treated to a massive basket of different teas to pick from and I spotted this one and was intrigued enough to try it. I have tried a number of the Twinings fruit infusion teas over the last couple of years but had never seen this particular variety.

Now I have tried these I will definitely be buying some if I find them in the supermarket, the Sainsburys website does currently have them listed as available at 95p for 20 which is very good value in my opinion, working out at less than 5p a cup.

The aroma of the tea when hot water is added to the bag is overwhelmingly fruity and the tea goes a deep purple colour although I could smell apple more than the blueberry in the tea itself. I found the taste of this tea was pleasently sweet and very drinkable, you can definitely taste both the blueberry and the apple although the apple seems to be the stronger flavour to my palette.

I found this tea to be incredibly refreshing and despite being naturally caffeine free I felt it was quite an invigorating drink, probably because of the zingyness of the berry flavour which comes through in the taste. This is a tea I would definitely drink at work throughout the day and would not feel I was missing out on anything by doing so.

Overall I would say this is definitely one of the better and more tasty fruit teas in the Twinings range and is one of my personal favourites. Distinctive, refreshing and enjoyable, I am just very grateful to have discovered them by accident, they will now be one of my regular purchases.

Summary: Another great fruit tea from Twinings

Not a fan of the fruit teas but do like the herbal ones - fennel and lemon and ginger
