Advantages: Tastes great, low in calories
Disadvantages: None unless you don't like fruit/herbal teas!
When it comes to fruit and herbal teas I really do like them and drink them often. I particularly like no caffeine formulations and one's with no added sugar in them as a change from drinking my normal tea which I tend to guzzle by the mugful daily!
I saw these in my local Sainsbury's priced at 92p a box a couple of weeks back and decided to give them a go!
The Packaging....
Pink box with a picture of sliced lemon and limes to the front of it. On the front I'm told they are Twinings 'Fresh & Fruity' Seasonal Addition Lemon & Lime With Orange Blossom 20 Teabags which are naturally caffeine free and made from natural ingredients and that the net wt of the product is 40g.
Other information on the box tells me a bit about the product and the company, instructions on how to make a cuppa using these and nutritional information is given.
A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Box....
Wake up to spring with this zesty infusion.
There's nothing like the invigorating taste of citrus to really awaken your senses. This simple blend of zesty lemon and juicy lime with a hint of delicate orange blossom is a delicious combination that perfectly reflects the upbeat mood of spring. Naturally caffeine free and with no added sugar, it's ideal first thing in the morning as a refreshing way to start the day.
Directions For Use....
Allow one bag per person and infuse for two to three minutes in freshly boiled water. For a sweeter taste, add honey.
Why not try it cold? Allow the infusion to cool before splashing over ice and drinking straight away. Add some lemon and lime slices for even more zest.
Always best enjoyed without milk.
Me Drinking It....
Well I really enjoy drinking this and I enjoy it as directed...hot or cold depending on my mood! I agree with Twinings this infusion is a great way to start the day too!
It's easy to make up as directed and when brewed your met by a light orange liquid that has a natural sort of honey like smell to it. Transparent though and watery of course it simply looks rather nice!
Taste wise it's very delicate on the flavours and not as I expected it to be. There is a hint or lemon and lime flavours to the drink but it isn't harsh or too zesty at all just sort of juicy and the orange blossom gives the whole thing a slight orangy taste to it and an added sweetness without the flavour being too sweet at all.
It's not too sweet (as I've just pointed out and contains no nasty sweeteners!), definitely is not too sour or anything but is, as promised a refreshing drink and as I said I like it cold too with ice and a slice of lime for a taste of the exotic!
A very nice, high quality drink...this is!
