... biggest pull for me is the flavour - green tea is nice, but Twinings have really managed to maintain the fundamental flavours of the leaves whilst adding another dimension of cranberry taste. I've tried other flavoured teas and often found the fruit-taste to be artificial or overly sweet. I don't know how Twinings have done it, but this is genuinely the best flavoured tea I've ever had! Another thing which, for me, is key, regardless of how long you leave the tea bag in, the tea doesn't go bitter! Any regular drinker of gr...more

Premium Review Twinings Green Cranberry: The leaves that fell into my cup (957 words)

Twinings Green Cranberry 20 Teabags 50g When I was young I used to ask my sister (9 years older than me) to tell me two stories; an old and short one, followed by a new and long one. What I mean by an old story is one that I already know, but why? Psychiatrists say it’s the child’s way of feeling safe. One of these short stories used to be the famous legend of green tea. It’s simply the legend which says that a certain Chinese emperor used to drink boiling water, but one day some leaves fell into his cup; he enjoyed the flavour and this made him drink green tea thereafter. I have to admit that I felt happy when I saw this legend mentioned on the ...  Read the complete review

I started drinking Green Tea after reading on a website that is can suppress hunger. Me being a typical woman, rushed out to buy it to see how true the claim was!! I picked the Cranberry flavour because I love Cranberries and I thought it would mask the flavour of the green tea. I found the tea in my local Tesco and you can buy it from any supermarket for about £1.50 for 20 teabags. Bargain I thought! I was surprised when I had my first cup of green tea at my desk at work, expecting to be digusted (I have tried various teas, including nettle tea - which did make me hack!) but I was surprised! I really enjoyed it. I started to notice change in ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Twinings Green Cranberry: Delicious, warming, one of my favourites (770 words)

I have been a green tea fan for several years now, I started drinking it whilst at university, having avoided developing the addiction to standard black-tea-and-milk that my parents have (they drink two-three cups at a time!), but realising that if I drank a lot of hot drinks I didn't need to have the heating turned up so high and could save money on the gas! I have tried quite a range of green teas and herbal teas now and the Twinings Green Tea with Cranberry is one of my favourites (the others being Clipper Green Tea with Lemon and London Tea's Vanilla Chai and Lemon Retreat). I first tried this tea because it was on special offer (of course) and I liked ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Twinings flavoured green tea - so delicious! (395 words)

I have been drinking green tea for around four years now - moving to England from the US, the daily ceremony of tea is inevitable, but I've got a very low tolerance for caffeine, and I found the standard black tea to have too much stimulant, leaving me jittery. I'd known green tea was a digestive aid and a good source of antioxidants, and it had just enough of a kick to get me started in the morning, so I started to drink it. Since becoming a devoted green tea drinker, I've tried the lot of them - organic teas, free trade teas, discount teas, loose leaf teas, etc.! After this lengthy period of trial and error, I now know to reach for only one kind of tea at Tescos - ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Twinings Green Cranberry: Cranberries and Long Life (510 words)

I read on someone else's review of this tea that they started drinking green tea in the belief that it suppresses hunger. In my experience the opposite is true. After a cup of green tea of any sort I'm absolutely famished. But that's if I drink it before a meal. It is well known that drinking green tea after a meal can aid the digestive system. It is the early growth of leaves from the camellia Sinensis shrub that provide the main ingredients to any green tea. These leaves once picked are quickly dried in order to retain their distinct light, green flavour. According to Twinings only the highest quality green tea leaves are chosen to create their subtle green ...  Read the complete review
