Advantages: good quality herbal tea

Disadvantages: ginger flavour too strong

Camomila, Honey & Vanilla is normally my favourite Twinings tea but they didn't have it anymore at the shop so I tried the Lemon & Ginger tea.
It didn't really convince me, both smell and taste were ginger, ginger, ginger and nothing Else. Far too strong for my liking and definitely a lot stronger than other ginger teas.

Packing
The pack I bought looks slightly different to the image here. My version is a orange box with a photo of a ginger root and some lemon bites dotted with water. It looks really tempting and gives you all the impression of freshness ans healthiness.
All the important information can be found on the bag/side of the box. I always admire the style of writing on the back of Twining boxes - god, I'd go crazy if I'd have to read a book written in this style.
--------------
Ingredients & nutrition
Twinings always uses all natural ingredients for its tea - no artificial flavouring/colouring or additives - a huge plus point!
The tea contains:
- Ginger root - 36.5%
- Natural lemon flavourings - 27%
- Lemongrass
- Blackberry leaves
- Lemon Peel
- Linden
- Natural ginger flavouring - 3.5%

This tea is a herbal tea and doesn't contain any caffeine!

Ginger is said to be good for digestion and the back of the box advises us that 'many people choose it as an after dinner drink due to its digestive qualities'

100ml of tea typically gives you:
- Energy - 2 kcal
- Protein - trace
- Carbohydrate - 0.3g
- Sugar - trace
- Fat - trace
- Fibre - trace
- Sodium - trace

No sugar is added and I normally don't need sugar for Twinings as they are naturally quite sweet.

Look & Taste
The smell when you open the box is incredibly nice - you can easily smell both the lemon and the ginger and it's not too pushy. This changes, however, as soon as you add hot water. The ginger smell gets a lot stronger and you already know what expects you now. The flavour was far too strong for me although I added honey to the tea. I couldn't taste any lemon anymore.
I was surprised to find such a strongly flavoured Twinings tea - it would be a lot more enjoyable with half of the flavouring.
--------------
Price & Value
I cannot remember the exact price I paid for the tea but it was definitely less than 2 Pound for 40 bags. Twinings is not the cheapest tea on the market but it's always worth the price.
The ginger flavour is far too strong for me and I didn't taste enough lemon. Twinings should change the name to 'Ginger tea with a wiff of lemon' because I really couldn't taste any lemon.
Personally I didn't like it but if you enjoy ginger this is the right option for you!
I give it 04 out 0f 10 - not because of the quality but because of the far too strong flavour.

Summary: I'll get the Honey & Camomile next time again
