Just waiting for the kettle to boil... ah, there we go. It's always exciting to see a flavour of Twining's that I've not seen before, so I snapped this one up immediately. The immediate smell that rises in the steam is a pleasant, sweet aroma of peppermint. Compared to a pure peppermint tea, though, the smell is broader and richer. This, presumably is due to the presence of nettle. In fact, the contents of each bag is 50% each of nettle and peppermint, and it is rather a nice feeling to be drinking something so pure. The problem I have with them is that although I like the concept of them I don't like the flavours of them very much and so my quest week to week continues to try find something palatable to drink! The Packaging.... Slightly different to the review ... Read the complete review

Not long ago, I bought a box of Twinings nettle and peppermint tea. As a believer of natural therapy, I have heard of the many health benefits of nettle and peppermint. The stinging nettle which many of us dislike especially when walking in the woods, is filled with many health benefits. It is a well known body cleanser and there are properties in nettle that can help relieve coughs and asthma, counter arthritis, fight skin problems and treat urinary infections. I have tried nettle tea on its own and it taste awful. The dark green tea give out a grassy smell and it looks unappealing. Normally, I would not add any sugar or honey in herbal tea but in this ...
