Another minty offering from me! Having tried the Mint Options Hot Chocolate, I turn now to a more herbal hot mint drink: peppermint tea. Probably the most common of herbal teas are the Twinings range, and it is their Pure Peppermint I am reviewing. The Company Twinings has been established since 1706, making and selling tea of all kinds. They now sell over 200 teas in over 100 countries. Pure Peppermint is part of their Classic Herbal Infusions set. The Tea and my opinion The teabag on appearance is the same as a regular teabag. You get a nice aroma of mint when you open the box, which contains 20 bags and has a convenient ... Read the complete review

I am a self confessed tea addict - I mainly drink regular tea with caffeine, mainly Earl Grey. However, I have been looking for a caffeine free alternative for a while. I'm not fond of regular decaf teas so I decided to try a herbal tea. I picked these Twinings Peppermint Tea teabags up in Tesco - 20 for around £1.20 (Peppermint tea seems to be really cheap!) There are several articles all over the internet that profess the benefits of peppermint tea. I was mainly interested in the fact that aids psoriasis since I suffer from the condition. It is recommended to only drink 2-3 cups of the tea a day, and I have been doing this for around a month now, usually one ... Read the complete review

I've recently changed jobs and the supplies in the kitchen at my new office are far superior to anywhere I have worked before. Part of this is a stock of several boxes of every kind of Twinings Herbal Teas you can imagine. Now, my prior experience of herbal teas has, almost without exception, always been a let down. This has usually occurred due to seeing a tasty looking box of tea in a supermarket and deciding it looks tasty and healthy. It is the kind of product I WANT to like. Somehow it finds its way into my basket and I rush home full of excitement to try my new tea. I get home, boil the kettle, marvel at the wonderful smell, wait for the never-cooling-drink ... I really enjoyed my cup of Twinings peppermint tea I had this morning, but in comparison to other herbal or mint teas, I think it falls a little short. I will try and explain why! So how do you prepare it? Back in the day, when the world was pure, fresh peppermint leaves were steeped in boiling water for 2 minutes anywhere up to 15 minutes, and this soulful elixir drunk to aid stomach upsets. Twinings now offer 20 individual tea bags in an average 40g box and suggest leaving to infuse for 2-3 minutes. You can sweeten as you like, say with honey or sugar, but avoid the temptation to aid milk. Mint and milk? Eurgh! (reminds me of forgetting I have brushed ... Read the complete review

I love green teas and herbal teas. I started drinking them over five years ago and now rarely deviate back to black tea or coffee. Peppermint tea is one of my favourites as I sometimes suffer from indigestion, which was the main reason I started drinking it. Its also good if you have an upset stomach. But overall its a lovely refreshing drink, ideal for any time. PACKAGING/PRODUCT Twinings teabags come in a rectangular cardboard box, which I love because I prefer products with minimal packaging and this is easily recycled. The box has the ingredients, nutritional information, brewing instructions and benefits of drinking tea. The box is relatively ... Read the complete review
