Advantages: Caffeine free, Calorie free - guilt free! Tastes great too
Disadvantages: none
I am addicted to this tea I drink it by the gallon (well, almost) daily!
Now Im not some health freak, I do enjoy and indeed NEED my two cups of strong coffee every morning to wake me up and enable me to talk to people rather than just grunt! But after that I have been trying to limit my caffeine intake because I am aware its not that great for you.
Herbal teas are always a massive disappointment to me because they smell absolutely divine, and then you drink one...dishwater anyone? Thought not.
Got into the green tea habit for a while but not for me
I was at a meeting and they had these so I thought I would try one and Im hooked.
The Twinnings ones look just like regular teabags but you treat this like an infusion - I leave the teabag in until its all gone, and wait until its warm because its not good for you to drink it too hot, and also leaving it a while is how the taste develops.
So not only is it caffeine and calorie free, but it also contains properties to help with digestion - I find it excellent for indegestion and bloating (Peppermint is a traditional digestion remedy and has been used for years).
I keep a box of it on my desk at work so that I can try and stave off hunger cravings - usually works!
All this at around less than £1 for 20 bags too - widely available in supermarkets.
Summary: Tasty and good for digestion too
