More than just a tea (Twinings Peppermint Tea)

Advantages: multiple uses and applications, tastes just right and just strong enough

I'm a total tea lover! Doesn't matter what it is - I love all the Earl Greys, Breakfast Teas and herbal and fruit teas of this world! Most of the teas I drink are because I really enjoy them, but Twinings Peppermint tea I tend to drink as a nausea and upset stomach remedy - in this review I am focusing on the extra benefits that this tea has on top of being a refreshing drink.

About 3 years ago I suffered from an ISB-like stomach problem that became so severe that I couldn't leave the house at times. It was due to stress and I started carrying a packet of peppermint capusles and a few Twinings peppermint teabags around with me as the peppermint soothed my stomach.

I find that this tea does a number of things - I drink it if I need to get up early in the morning as I do still suffer from nausea then and it really helps, and it's great for a wake up in the mid afternoon when you want to fall asleep at your keyboard and don't want to drink coffee. Another thing that I do with the teabags is to cool them down after use and use them on my eyes to reduce puffiness! Not bag for a product sold for under two pounds!

In terms of quality I never buy any other herbal teas but Twinings. I drink a lot of fruit and herbal tea at work through the day and tried a supermarket own brand to save money. It was disgusting and I threw the whole box out. Twinings seems to have the quality and taste right for a herbal tea. The peppermint in particular really has an effect on your stomach, and you can feel it warming it. I'd recommend this tea to anyone as a really nice drink, but especially effective for digestive problems and a caffine alternative.

Summary: I wouldn't switch from Twinings to another tea
