Citrus tea that is not too sharp (Twinings Pink Grapefruit, Mandarin & Lime)

I have been at home ill after a major operation recently and I have been told to keep my liquid intake up. I find water pretty boring and in this cold weather it is nice to have a warm drink. My lovely husband went out and bought a shopping bag fill of different fruit teas. I am going to review them here, as I have had quite a few cups of each sort. It is amazing how different they can be. Happy reading!

PINK GRAPEFRUIT MANDARIN AND LIME
This tea intrigued me when I saw the box. So often fruit teas tend to be all about berries and grapefruit seems too sharp a taste to be in a tea. However, I was totally won over by the packaging. the blue box looks unusual and I really wanted to give it a go.

The smell was divine once I had added boiling water. It was very citrus in smell and was as good as any room freshener! The colour was quite pale and healthy looking - if that makes sense! It basically looked like something that would really clear your mouth well and aid digestion - doesn't say it will do that, it just looked like it might!!

The taste is fantastic. It is so different from most fruit teas. The citrus is really strong but not overpowering. It is a sweet citrus flavour rather than a very bitter or sour citrus. It reminded me of lazying in the garden on a summer afternoon. For me this is definitely a morning drink to perk you up, rather than an evening drink to relax you.

I would definitely recommend this tea so anyone who likes something a bit different. It is truly delicious and I kept going back for more!
