Peppermint tea Twining


I was at work last week and my tummy was feeling a little out of sorts, one of the friends that I work with gave me a Twinings’ peppermint tea I was amazed at how this soothes the feeling in my tummy and I am now a convert.

Availability and price
. Well after trying my friends I bought some tea bags at Tesco where they are 91p for a pack containing 20 (40g) (0n 2 for 1 offer at moment) or £1.62 for a 40(80g) teabag packet.
Twinning tea bags are sold in most supermarkets and good food stores.

Packaging
The tea bags are packed in a card box , this is coloured a mint green with a picture of a green peppermint leaf has the Twining’s logo on it , If you are looking for this tea on the supermarket shelf you will spot it easily .

Brewing / infusing
To make this tea is easy it’s the same as any other tea. Put the kettle on to boil, get your cup out and put a Twining's peppermint tea bag in it. When the kettle boils pour water onto tea bag , let the tea brew for a while 2 or 3 minutes, remove tea bag do not add milk it tastes much better with out it . . Allow tea to cool a little and enjoy.

If you wish you can add sugar or honey to sweeten, but I find this unnecessary. I have not tried it but I think peppermint tea would be nice cool in the summer.
When I drink Twining Peppermint tea I find it soothing, cooling, calming. I like it. This tea has no caffeine or sugar added to it

Twinings was one of the first companies to introduce tea to England when in 1706 they first sold some tea on the Strand in London .Twining have many different flavoured teas and since 2000 there are some organic types too . . Whenever I hear anyone say Twining’s tea I know it will be a good cup.

Peppermint is a herb known to sooth the digestion and many people use a peppermint tea for this it is helpful with many stomach disorders. Is good for morning sickness, travel sickness, crone’s disease and other stomach upsets.
I think this year I shall try and get some peppermint for the garden so I can try to make my own tea.
