Advantages: Low priced, caffeine free, lovely scent

Disadvantages: A little bitter

These Twinings fruit tea bags are on special offer in Tesco at the moment. They are very reasonable priced when they are not on offer at 95p for 20 bags and even better at just 60p at present. I do drink rather a lot of tea and coffee so I think it is a good idea to have a change to something like this every now and again to cut back on my caffeine intake and have a change too.

I have tried quite a lot of the Twinings fruit teas during the last few years but this particular flavour, Raspberry, Strawberry and Loganberry, is one of my favourites.

This tea is made in the same style that you would make a standard cup of tea. You boil the kettle, put the teabag in a cup and pour the boiling water over it then leave it to brew for a few minutes. I find that this can be sped up by squeezing the bag in the water with a teaspoon if I am in a hurry.

This is quite a fruity flavoured tea with a really strong and inviting scent, but rather bitter too unlike some of the others from this range. So I find it needs a little sugar to sweeten it. The box suggests using honey to sweeten it but I must confess I have never tried that. Whether sweetened or not, I should point out to new drinkers that this is a tea that is drunk without milk. So if it is too hot, you should add a little cold water to cool it down and not milk as you would do with standard tea.

Summary: A great change to standard tea.
