Advantages: Quite reasonable price, nice smell when brewing.
Disadvantages: Tasted like I imagine dirty dish water to taste!
I was given a Raspberry, Strawberry & Loganberry flavoured teabag by a colleague at work who had purchased a 5 flavoured mixed set from our local Tesco for £1.22.
The teabag is individually packaged in it's own envelope which is in a cardboard box holding all 25 bags.
Once you open the envelope you see the teabag which is almost see through in colour and has a string (stapled to it - eurgh, metal in your tea!) attached which isn't actually used to squeeze the tea bag just to get the tea bag out of your cup.
The teabag itself contains the raspberry, strawberry & loganberry as advertised.
You make this tea like you would an ordinary cup of tea, boil the kettle, I personally added the teabag to the cup of hot water but I guess some people do things differently!
I used the string attached to lift the teabag up and down for a good 3-4 minutes and the water turned a vibrant dark red colour.
Several people I worked with commented on the fruity smell in the office and it was very nicely scented.
The packet advises that if you like things sweet you could add some honey to this, however, I added a sweetener just to make sure it had a nice sweet taste (like I like my tea!).
I left the water to cool a little before drinking (as advised by my colleague) and I was left a little disappointed. The taste was quite bitter-sweet and definitely nowhere near sweet enough for my liking! I would definitely advise adding honey or real sugar to this to give it a sweet kick!
I could taste the fruit flavours but to be honest this kind of just tasted like an extremely weak, lukewarm fruit squash. Also, as I got further in to the drink I just found myself disliking the taste more and more until about 2/3 of the way through the cup I couldn't stomach anymore and had to tip the rest of this away.
If you like herbal/fruit flavoured teas then this would definitely be something for you, but however, if you are like me (a real tea drinker!) then you won't fancy trying this more than once!
As with most fruit/herbal teas don't add milk, if you want to cool this product just add a little cold water.
The price is very reasonable for the amount of bags and there were four other flavours in her box (sorry - can't recall what they were!).
Summary: I wouldn't recommend this product unless you adore fruit tea!
