Advantages: great taste, good for first time "proper" tea drinkers

Disadvantages: none!

For a few minutes every day, would you like to imagine yourself as a member of the Russian aristocracy? A Tsarina perhaps? Obviously imagining this before the Russian revolution would be a good idea!

Well now it possible by sitting back, closing your eyes and sipping this gorgeous tea. How is that possible I hear you ask! Well this tea is called Russian Caravan and is based upon the tea fervour by the old Russian aristocracy. You wouldn't expect them to drink the same tea as the peasants surely!

The tea is made from a blend of fine China teas and was traditionally transported into Russia by camel caravans from Asia. I think that explains where it got its name from!

The tea itself is delicate and mellow - a perfect tea for relaxing with. Although the flavour is very delicate it is quite distinct and you can tell when you are drinking Russian Caravan!

If you are a stranger to tea other than of the Tetley or Tescos own label, then this may be the perfect tea for you to start off with. It is of better quality than your run of the mill brand teas but the flavour is not too strong or too much of a shock. Next time you are at the supermarket be brave, take the plunge and throw a box of this into your trolley!

I think I'll steer clear of this stuff - I've never liked caravans. However, I did try a new peppermint tea this weekend (from Marks and Spencers) and it is the best I've had. Very refreshing!
