... binned. However on my latest health kick after a busy month of holiday cocktails birthday shorts and freshers week shots I decided I would once again give them a try. I like quite sweet flavours so the strawberry and mango caught my eye. They come in a box of 20 for approx £1 which at 5p a bag seems quite reasonable. So I boiled the kettle, popped in a bag and left to brew for several minutes until the water turned a dark pinky- purple colour. It had a really sweet and refreshing smell to it, however on first tas...more

I've always liked the idea and the sound of fruit teas as an alternative to my usual PG tips with lots of milk...however all my previous experiences have left me with quite a negative impression. They seem to remind me of a bitter and weak version of hot vimto, so I've now lost count of the number of boxes I've bought expecting to find a new favourite hot drink, only to banish it to the back of the cuboard to be forgotten and eventually binned. However on my latest health kick after a busy month of holiday cocktails birthday shorts and freshers week shots I decided I would once again give them a try. I have a strange head (I can hear you all saying 'tell me something I don't know! lol) On occasions when I have headache nothing takes the pain away quicker than a cup of coffee, othertimes caffeine gives me headache! And so for these days I try and drink more caffeine free drinks, I can't stand the taste of decaff coffee or tea so try and stick to herbal teas and rooibos tea. To me, most herbal teas taste the same most of them having apple as the main ingredient as it's a cheap fruit but this one actually tastes like the flavour suggests it should! My mum bought me this last week and it's quickly become a favourite. Even more of a test, I'm full ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Twinings Strawberry and Mango: I Need More Mango (379 words)

Twinings Strawberry and Mango infusion is described as a deliciously different and refreshing tea that perfectly combines the "quintessentially summer flavour of strawberries and sweet exotic taste of mango". There's probably more of a taste of strawberry than mango, but an overall lack of either taste - as too often with Twinings fruit and herbal teas I find the flavour rather lacking. Twinings Strawberry and Mango is another one of Twinings soft Fruit blends that I have been sampling over the last twelve months. A fruity fusion brew always makes a nice change from normal tea and any tea with a mango flavour always appeals to me as mango is one of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A bit fruity (428 words)

Strawberry and Mango is in the Fresh and Fruity range of Twinings infusions. I love both strawberries and mango so decided to give it a try. As I had to cut down on caffeine. The box is a pretty pink with a picture of some lovely strawberries and a slice of Mango, and all the ingredients are natural. There are 20 tea bags in the box, they aren't individually wrapped which I like as it saves on waste paper, but they are joined so you have to separate them. The box is also re-cyclable. Some people though may prefer individually wrapped bags if they want to carry one in their bag to work, you can buy mixed boxes and this is often in them. The box contains ...  Read the complete review

I am a little surprised to find that this is only rated three out of five stars on average by my fellow reviewers. This is a huge hit with me personally and I think it is one of the nicest fruit teas I have ever had by any brand. Usually a box of 20 teabags costs 95p in Tesco but at present they are on offer for 60p. I think it is an excellent time to try these if you are interested but have not yet done so as that is just 3p per cup at the offer price. To make a cup of this fruit tea, simply place a teabag in a cup and pour boiling water over it then leave it to infuse for a few minutes. I use a teaspoon to squeeze the bag to speed this process ...  Read the complete review
