Twinings White Tea and Pomegranate (20 teabags) It is true that I wrote more than one review about those healthy drinks yet I’m not a health nut; I just wanted to drink something light after eating a magnificent pepperoni pizza and I found this one. I was enthusiastic about Twinings White Tea and Pomegranate because I heard about white tea but never tried it before and also because I thought the pomegranate flavouring would help in case the tea tasted dreadful. I thought I should review white tea in particular as some people told me they hated green tea, and so I guess this lighter alternative, which is not really bitter by the way, is the one for ... Twinings make some of my favourite teas. They do a really nice range of green teas, fruit teas, peppermint teas and the newest tea from their range that I have tried is their white tea with a hint of pomegranate. Twinings and Tea are virtually synonymous, the history of the company going back centuries. Thomas Twining actually opened the first known tea room in 1706, a building that still stands in the Strand, London to this day. So what exactly is a white tea? In my ongoing quest to find the nicest tasting healthy tea (yes, it is a fairly strange quest...!) I stumbled across Twinings 'White Tea with Pomegranate'. I hadn't ever tried white tea prior to drinking this product, yet I knew it would be nicer than the last tea which I reviewed - 'Dr Stuart's Detox' - which has one of the most hideous tastes known to mankind. The product, which costs over £2, isn't available from all supermarkets - I bought the tea from Somerfield, but the local Tesco and Morrisons don't stock it. Twinings White Tea with Pomegranate comes packaged in a 50g box which contains twenty teabags. Each bag comes in its own ... Read the complete review

This is one of my favourite teas. Packaging: It comes in a pack of 20 individually wrapped tea bags with strings. Smell: When you open they bag, it's not immediately obvious that there is any promegranate in the tea as the fruity smell is very mild. However, once you wet the tea and dip it in the hot water, the smell of the fruit wafts up but still not particularly strong. This is a good sign that it compliments rather than overpowers the tea. The aroma of this tea is divine - a mixture of green tea with a slight hint of something fruity but not enough fruit to make it smell like hot Ribena! Taste: To me, white tea ...
