It may be that I’m getting old (well, I am, I know) but I can no longer drink coffee or even tea in the quantities that I managed ten years ago. They contain caffeine and this acts on the central nervous system to increase the stress hormones in the blood. I can’t relax properly and sleep is almost impossible. I suffer from mood swings – and so does everyone around me. There are, of course, de-caffeinated drinks but I always find the taste disappointing when compared to the original. For many years I’ve drunk Twinings’ Wild Blackberry and Nettle Infusion. It’s naturally caffeine-free which means that I can drink it at any time of the day without it ... Read the complete review

The thought of drinking a tea with the flavour of nettles had put me off buying this product, since the memory of having fallen into a huge patch of them as a child and being stung all over hadn't yet left my memory. However, I'm willing to give most things a try at least once, and my friend told me nettle is good for de-toxifying your body. Why this would appeal to me is a bit of a mystery, since I've never even tried to de-tox in my life, but perhaps I was caught up in the moment and ended up spontaneously buying a pack. I'm glad I did, but only because I know not to buy them again! I wouldn't say that these teabags have an unpleasant flavour- the problem ... Read the complete review

This is an herbal tea that I was persuaded to try after reading that nettle tea can help your body to detoxify. Now I decide rather than going gathering them myself and getting various nettle stings and making a witches like brew in my kitchen I would give these tea bags a try. Why not try just trying nettle tea you ask well I thought this would be a half waypoint as often when I try pure herbal tea it just tastes like dishwater so I was hoping the blackberry element would give it a refreshing kick. Benefits of nettle tea Nettle tea is also often suggested for sufferers of arthritis and gout, as it is reported to aid in the reduction levels of uric ... Read the complete review

I have never been a fan of a normal cup of tea or coffee, I think it runs in the family. I was at a friend's house and she offered me a cup of fruit tea, I was a bit wary because normally they just taste like boiled water. Blackberry and Nettle tea is for sale at about the £1 mark in most large supermarkets. You get 20 bags for that price. I have to say that it looks to me that many people are put off by the nettle aspect as the box is always full on the shelve, more for me I suppose. I can garantee the tea isn't bitter, the nettle adds a slight tang but the blackberry is definately the dominant flavour. I find the sweetness of the blackberries really ... Read the complete review

I have not seen Blackberry and Nettle tea bags by Twinings on sale for a while but I am sure they are still available. I guess they are just not one of their more popular brands. I can understand why because the nettle aspect would put people off I imagine. It suggests the tea will be a little bitter. This is true to an extent but the blackberry flavour is so strong and so dominant and so super sweet and fruity that actually the nettle tones this down nicely. The combination of Blackberries and Nettles works perfectly. The tea is a beautiful rich purple colour, very much like blackberry stains on clothes! It smells strongly of sweet ripe blackberries but ... Read the complete review
