Twinings Fresh & Fruity Pomegranate & Raspberry Tea ... new fruit infusion from the clever folks at Twinings, this time apparently taking advantage of the sudden recent popularity of pomegranates. There are no particular health benefits cited, though as always there s no added sugar and the infusion is naturally caffeine free. A standard box contains twenty bags, and costs a little either side of £1, depending on where you shop. The bags themselves have a pleasant, candied smell. Once water is added, the scent becomes much sharper and characteristic of raspberry. The sweetness remains though, which is unusual in teas of this type, but somewhat welcome. *waits for it to cool a bit before continuing* :) The pleasa... Twinings Chai ... of spices used varies a great deal, but it will always contain some of the following cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, star anise, peppercorn, and cloves. The first time i tried it was around 5 years ago and i didn t like it, it was extremely over-powering. I stupidly assumed it all tasted the same and flatly refused to drink it again, up until recently when my friend was making herself a cup of Twinings Chai, it smelt lovely and i then learnt that different brands use different blends. It is a very aromatic tea, the aroma makes me think of christmas, i was more than happy with the smell of this tea alone, nevermind how it tasted! However, the taste is mellow, the spices... Twinings Selections Mixed Berry Infusions ... have used Twinings teas for several years and have had their fruit teas, green teas and normal teas and due to being pregnant and not being able to drink coffee very often decided to invest in a box of fruit teas so that I can still have a hot drink. The box has now has 25 bags in itstead of the 20 that it used to contain and cost me 99p from Asda. The box contains 5 flavours, Strawberry and Mango, Blueberry and Apple, Cranberry and Pomegranate, Echinacea and Raspberry and Raspberry, Strawberry and Loganberry.
