Advantages: helps with morning sickness and indigestion good taste

Disadvantages: more of a winter drink not good cold

I started to drink this tea when I was pregnant and went off coffee and alongside the morning sickness this tea seemed to be a good one to try for having a hot drink in the morning.

Ginger is well known for its soothing effects for nausea with pregnancy which was why i choose it. But Ginger is also known as a remedy for travel sickness, nausea and indigestion and is used for wind, colic, irritable bowel, loss of appetite, chills, cold, flu, poor circulation, menstrual cramps, dyspepsia (bloating, heartburn, flatulence), indigestion and gastrointestinal problems such as gas and stomach cramps. So lots of good reasons to try this tea.

They recommend that you allow the tea to infuse for about 2-3 minutes and that you can add honey sugar or a slice of lemon to the cup.

I found that 2-3 minutes was a good length of time and if i allowed the tea bag to stay in the cup whilst drinking it as I have done with other herbal teas then it became too strong and made me feel like coughing. I also would add a teaspoon of honey to give the drink a hint of sweetness. and a drop of cold water so you can drink it fairly soon.

The drink itself is a nice warming soothing taste and helped with my nausea. I have also still drunk it after my pregnancy has ended especially if I feel I have eaten too much as it helps me stop getting indigestion. i would say though it is more of a winter drink than a summer a drink and unlike some herbal teas does not taste that great when drunk cold

Information about the tea-

Ingredients - Ginger root (39%), lemon grass (18%), lemon peel, linden, blackberry leaves, lemon flavouring, ginger flavouring and citric acid.

overall a good herbal tea which I think is an enjoyable drink with some great medicinal benefits

Summary: a great herbal tea with some great medicinal benefits
