Why oh why they stopped selling this in the UK I will never know. I am now forced to take a round trip to Geneva once a year and pick up the product. It is still sold in several countries around the world. I have spied it on sale, albeit in a limited stock, in Germany and France. However, it seems their days are short numbered as Coke realise it really isnt that popular.

Like many, my first experience with Vanilla Coke was purely accidental, having picked up a standard Coke and not eyeing up the packaging very carefully. I was annoyed with myself for not paying more attention; not least because, like many, I have made the same mistake with the awful Cherry Coke.

I was pleasantly suprised by the taste. It was tangy and zesty with a refreshing soothness. This was in France, 2003, where the bottle was marketed as Coke Vanille. Upon my return to the UK, I stocked up.

OK, so you can make your own "Coke float" with Vanilla ice-cream...but it isn't the same. Come on Coca-Cola, introduce it again.
