It's not actually vanilla...it's ice cream.

Advantages: Great tasting
Disadvantages: No longer available in the UK
This is one of those drinks that if you can get your hands on it you really have to try. I think they must have put some sort of addictive substance in it, because I know that for the life of me I couldn't get enough of it when it was on general sale here in the UK back pre 2006.
This coke came in both full fat and diet flavours, so if you wanted you could pick and choose between healthy and non-healthy at a whim.
At first taste the coke seems rather bizarre and for no apparent reason. It's nice. It's sweet, but it tastes a little weird. I think it's only once you place that Vanilla is a flavour typically associated with ice creams that it makes sense and you start to enjoy it. You realise that you are actually drinking a liquid version of an ice cream float, you know the one you see in the movies? Where you have the coke, or more commonly lemonade, and put a dollop of vanilla ice cream on touch with a straw? Well that's what this is - the coke version anyway!
Sadly poor sales (or at least I would presume poor sales) have stopped coke from selling this in the UK, which is a real shame - even if it was just brought back as a summer flavour I'm sure it'd be a winner again...that said the one thing I never tried was making an ice cream float with it - a chance missed I feel!
Although perhaps a little sweet for some pallets I think it's fair to say this flavour must have been more popular than that goodness awful lime flavour they still have in production! If you see this whilst abroad then pick a can up and give it a go. You won't be dissapointed.
Summary: A great taste you just have to try.
