Advantages: In a convenient can.
Disadvantages: Too sweet. Overpowering. Not a pleasant taste. Not readily available in the UK. Price.
I've only tried Vanilla Coke twice and it wasn't really something that I've fallen in love with. I notice that it seems to have disappeared from the supermarket shelves and so I don't think it is readily accessible to buy in the UK, but I have noticed that it is available on Amazon (www.amazon.co.uk) for £11.85 for 12 x 355ml cans - which equates to 99p per can - which is quite expensive for a canned drink, especially when you consider that a normal can of Coca Cola in a multi pack currently costs half of that from Tesco.
The Vanilla Coke comes in a traditional can with the Coke logo printed onto the can. It has the normal taste of Coca Cola. but with the added taste of vanilla. I have to admit that I really don't like it. I find that the vanilla taste is just far too overwhelming and it makes the drink really sickly sweet and just not very pleasant. I found that the vanilla was more than just a hint but was instead just too overwhelming and infused too heavily through the whole drink. Because of the sickly sweet taste, I found that after a few sips I really didn't feel like I could drink any more of it. On the second occasion that I tried it, I had it mixed with whiskey and I had the same sensation that it was just too sweet and it overpowered even the taste of the whiskey.
I really didn't enjoy this drink, and for that reason I just couldn't recommend it.
Summary: I just didn't enjoy it.
