The beer has been produced since 1824 in tiny Grevenstein which is located in the Sauerland area of Rheinland. It still remains in the Veltins family and despite its humble origins, the Veltins Brewery is currently the largest brewery in Rheinland. Bringing quality products at reasonable prices, it is no wonder to see why - Veltins Pilsener is a beer that I think most lager lovers would find palatable and I definitely recommend you give it a go....moreMore Veltins drinks

Veltins Pilsener is a German lager that I recently bought from the supermarket, the cheap price appealed at first and I thought I'd give it a go. The lager had a very simple style with a single green and white label on either side and the words Veltins Pilsener with a small emblem and the amount of alcohol on the back. At 4.8%, it's relatively weak and goes down easily and is definitely drinkable in large quantiities, it's far from water though and has a pleasant taste, a simple bitter sweet taste which is really rather neutral but still quite flavourful.
