Advantages: Refreshing non-fizzy fruity drink :)

I love flavoured drinks as I hate the taste of plain water, but we are always getting told o stay hydrated...

One of my favourite drinks from childhood is 'Vimto' a lovely refreshing fruity drink that comes in both fizzy and cordial forms.

Obviously we all know that drinking plenty is healthy for you but drinking a lot of gassy fizzy drinks isn't so on a recent food shop I was bought this brightly coloured labelled bottle for £1.17 from Morrisons.

Now this is a lot more expensive than the shop's own brand but I think my stomach is worth it, lol!

The plastic bottle is the 750ml size although if you are really lucky you can sometimes get 100% extra free too.

Made in England this dark red fruity drink is only 30 calories per 250ml glass - or if you buy the sugar free version its only 6 calories.

The write up says there are fourteen servings in this size container although they recommend to dilute one part juice to four parts water but I think that is too strong for most.

For toddlers it says to add more water, but I reckon I get about twenty to thirty helpings out of mine as the taste is so strong, plus there are no artificial colours.

Made from concentrated fruits to make the secret Vimto flavour the makers say there are herbs and spices blended together for the 'most amazing taste experience' and they advice to store it in the fridge for freshness.

The best before date has a full year on mine and there is a 10% concentrate of raspberry, grape and blackcurrant for the great fruity flavour.

I love the taste of this, because it is a flat juice you are not distracted by bubble but rather can enjoy the natural taste without being pumped full of sugars or sweeteners. It smells just as strong as the fizzy variation and just as nice too!

I think this is a lovely flavoured soft refreshment; it quenches my thirst and has a really pleasant aftertaste - although it does colour your mouth purple! Five stars from me, it may not be cheap but it certainly is cheerful! ;-p
