Advantages: It's yummy
Disadvantages: The 750 ml trick
Vimto Cordial - available in most supermarkets and convenience stores
1 litre - £1
2 Litres - £2.50
As a person who does not like to drink water I am a massive fan of vimto cordial. A 1 litre bottle will apparently make 20 servings (I've never specifically counted to be honest although I imagine this to be about right).
The product often as 33% extra free, and is also available in No added sugar (this is my favourite).
The product has added vitamin C, and is filled with fruity goodness.
According to the bottle it contains grape, blackcurrant, raspberry, natural extracts of fruits, herbs barley malt and spices.
The product is not suitable for carbohydrate free diets.
However the juice does taste wonderful, it has a wonderful distinctive flavour that sets it apart form other squashes. It is a wonderful change from fizzy sugary drinks, and it is considered by children in my house to be a bit of a treat, and as a person who does sometimes not drink enough it helps to entice me to drink as much as I need.
The bottle is nicely shaped, and has Vimto raised up on it around the neck of the bottle, with what look like grapes around it.
One of the things that does annoy me about the product is the 750 ml bottle which shops do sometimes have that will trick me into thinking that I am in fact buying a litre....
Summary: Try it!!!!!!
