Fizzy Vimto:
I have to admit I quite like Vimto and I always have. Anyway I was polishing off a can earlier and I thought I'd review it.
Vimto as a brand do fizzy drinks and also do a cordial version too. I like both but the fizzy version is my favourite and therefor the one I drink most often. The flavour of the two is very similar so if you don't like fizz you can have the "squash" and still enjoy the great flavour.
Apparently Vimto is grape, blackcurrant and raspberry flavoured but in my opinion it doesn't taste like those fruits. You can't get a taste of any of the fruits individually but it is a lovely fruity taste none-the-less. It's quite sweet, (that will be the fructose glucose syrup - 11g of carbohydrate which I am assuming is sugar), and almost syrupy. Some will find that off putting but I like it. It is quite fizzy though; fizzier than I would usually like but with the syrupy texture it is the right amount of fizz in my opinion.
I normally buy my Vimto in tiny little 150ml cans which are always, (in my experience anyway), price-marked at 35p which makes them a cheap refreshing drink when you are out and about. I like the size because I can rarely finish a whole can of drink in one go and find bottles don't fit in my gorgeous-but-not-so-practical handbags at least not with all the other junk! You can buy Vimto in the "normal" sized cans but I am sure I have not seen a big bottle of it anywhere.
Be warned though - if you spill your Vimto an anything it will more than likely stain! You even have to be careful of the little drops that natural escape the bottle because of its fizzyness - I am now the proud owner of a table cloth with minute pinky-purple spots! Its not an issue for us big kids who should be able to have a drink without spilling it everywhere but for little kids it is something to watch out for unless you'd like carpets with purple slodges on!
The can design is very colourful, (purple being the main colour here), and quite funky and modern looking. The usual information is present although they have opted to save precious space by placing on a tiny "nutrition" section on little cans!
For me Vimto is a great drink especially when in the little cans and for 35p you can't really go wrong.

Summary: One of my favourite drinks
