Vimto is a fizzy fruit drink which is made with grapes, blackcurrants and raspberries. This drink is a highly refreshing one which leaves your taste buds tingling after each mouth full and is a drink that quenches thirst better than many other soft drinks on the market. The history of Vimto is a long one with the drink first coming about in 1908 as a medicinal drink to give 'vim' (meaning energy or power) and had the name Vimto registered in 1912 as a medicine. In 1920 Vimto had bubbles added for the first time but between 1942 and 1947 no brands were allowed so Vimto became known as a 'Speciality Flavour Cordial'. Nowadays Vimto is a hugely popular fizzy fruit soft drink available from most supermarkets and local stores and is popular for its purple colour (both the labelling and the drink itself).
This drink is one for those who love their fruit juices and enjoy a nice refreshing one they can sit and drink with a little fizz to give it that extra dimension.
