Advantages: Sweet. Fruity. Delicious.

Disadvantages: Sugar Content.

Personally I love the Original Vimto flavour, whether it be fizzy or cordial. I'm not a big fan of Cherry or Strawberry flavoured drinks. So the original is my favourite, it's quite rich and fruity tasting you can definitely taste the blackcurrant and raspberrys in it, I have to admit that it can be quite sickly after a few too many glasses but it's still delicious. The Vimto ice lollies are absolutely to die for, and are a perfect sweet treat for a hot summers day The flavour of the Vimto ice lollies is just the original flavour. Also for when the weather turns cold and bitter there is nothing better than a cup of hot Vimto to warm your cockles, especially good if your full of a cold, it's something sweet and sugary to pick you up when your feeling crappy.

Asda pretty much sells all of the Vimto range, from the drinks to the sweets. Although if you have a look around you may be surprised to find other Vimto products.

Other Varieties of Vimto include;

Fizzy Original Vimto
Cherry Vimto
Strawberry Vimto
Vimto Cordial
Vimto Lollies (perfect for the summer)
Vimto Sweets
Still Vimto Cartons (perfect for lunch boxes)

There are also sugar free varieties of Vimto, so if your worried about your sugar intake or your little one's teeth then you can opt for the "healthier" option. I personally like a bit of a sugary treat so I stick with the super sugary fizzy stuff.

Prices vary depending on what you buy, but you can expect to pay around £1 for a 2 litre bottle of the fizzy kind. Asda currently have the 2 litre bottles on offer at 2 for £1.50. Cordial is a little more pricey depending on where you buy and the size of the bottle. In Asda Vimto cordial currently retails at £1 for a litre bottle, and 2 litre bottles retail at over £3 which makes no sense to me, you are much better off buying the litre bottles instead. Vimto products are available nationwide in most supermarkets and corner shops, everyone knows this already so I'm not going to go into too much detail here.

I'd recommend anyone who enjoys a fruity sweet treat to try Vimto, with it's blend of Grape, Blackcurrant, Raspberry and "mystery" herbs and spices, it is the perfect drink whatever the weather. You can drink it hot, cold or eat it depending on the product of course.
