In 1994 the crazy man that is Richard Branson released Virgin cola on us, now usually I would have nothing against having a virgin released upon me but this stuff that was designed to take on the American giants, Coke and Pepsi leaves a lot to be desired.

For me Virgin cola is just another cheap version of Coke and Pepsi, no better or no worse than the many stores own brand versions that are floating about. It goes flat too quickly after opening, it has a poor imitation cola taste and it is not all that much cheaper than the big two so why bother with it in the first place.

It was announced as the cola drink of the people but then that is how good old Richard or dick as I like to call him markets all his things, as being for the people, let me tell you now for those of you who have not already figured it out these things are not for the people, Virgin media, Virgin airlines and all the other Virgin brand things including this cola are not for the people they are for Richard Branson to line his pockets.

I have nothing against a man making money and doing well for himself but to claim to be doing it all for the people really gets my back up. I have to be honest and say that even if this cola was the best on the market I would not drink it out of principle but the fact is that it is not the best, nor second best in fact it is not even third best although it is the third most expensive.

Don't be fooled, steer well clear of this imitation muck he calls the cola for the people!!
