Advantages: Taste, healthy, works

Disadvantages: Not as good as rivals

**Introduction**

Anyone involved in Sport will tell you about the importance of being properly hydrated so I take notice of this When I play Sport, I usually play Football or Basketball and when I do I usually have quite a long game so need some refreshment. I have used many sports drinks and have never really found one that did not work for me. As I like Mineral Water I decided to try the new Volvic Revive as I had heard good things about it.

**Volvic Revive**

As you will probably know, Volvic Revive is a mineral water based drink which has a fruit flavoured taste. There are a number of different flavours of Volvic Revive, These include Citrus Kick and the one I am reviewing today which is Volvic Revive Berry Blast. The drink also includes Ginseng and Guarana which will both give you a boost. They say it is "A delicious and stimulating fruit flavoured water drink that's designed to give you an invigorating lift".

**The Taste**

Whilst the real value in this drink is the boost it gives you, the taste also matters and although it does not have all that strong a taste, The berry still comes out well and the combination of the clear, fresh mineral water and the berry flavour is really good. The drink includes juice from Grape, Blackcurrant and Blueberry. All in all I am very impressed with the flavour of the drink but there are nicer tasting mineral water and fruit juice drinks around so you may go with them instead of this one.

**The Results**

I am very impressed with this drink as It works rather well to give you an energy boost and it also leaves you feeling refreshed when you are feeling rather thirsty. Drinking this allowed me to carry on playing when I would have had to stop a lot sooner had I not had anything to drink. Whilst Lucozade, Powerade and Gatorade probably produce better results this drink is not to be discounted as it does produce good results and some people may prefer the more relaxed taste of this drink.

**Overall**

So having weighed up the pros and cons I would recommend this drink to anyone who likes water and to anyone who likes to go jogging or play sport. Not quite the best sports drink out there but certainly one that does it's job well. One drawback is the price which is typically just over £1 which loses points over the rivals as they tend to be a little cheaper than that and can often be found on certain offers.

Great review - although I did buy some for my daughter to take to school as she wasn't too keen on the taste. xx
