Advantages: None.
Disadvantages: poor tasting and expensive.
On Easter Sunday, my hubby and I took our grandkids to roll their lovely painted eggs down a rather large hill, luckily at the bottom of the hill there stands a little shop because by the time we had walked up and back down again we were all very thirsty.
For some reason or another when we were all choosing our drinks I picked up a bottle of Volvic touch of fruit (strawberry flavour). I decided to give it a go rather than buying a diet Coke or something else I would normally have.
It was a poor choice for both me and my hubby because i did not like it at all and ended up drinking his diet coke. The original still Volvic water is nice but this so called touch of fruit really ruins it.
The taste is one of very weak diluting juice and unless you drink it freezing cold it becomes undrinkable.
Even freezing cold though I could not stomach it, it tasted a bit like water that had been lying in the fridge for a while and had gone past its best. It cost me 90p for the bottle which was 1p more expensive than the diet Cokes everyone else had.
You do get other flavours of touch of fruits from Volvic but I for one will not be trying them.
Hubby had a mouthful and he agreed with me completely although my grandson did drink half the bottle and say it was ok but to be honest he is eight and will eat or drink pretty much anything!
Summary: Best avoided at all costs!

- 14/04/09 I find some of these have a rather bitter aftertaste and avoid buying them now. |

- 14/04/09 I find these flavoured water thingies a bit strange. I would rather have either normal water or a proper soft drink. |
