Advantages: Tastes lovely

Disadvantages: Contains lots of sugar

After reviewing the still version of this a few days a go, I thought I would now review this strawberry version that is also from the volvic range.

Volvic is a mineral water that filters through layers of volcanic rock in France. It comes in all sorts of different sized bottles including a bigger sports version for those of you who drink on the move.

I really love water but on the odd occasion I do get a little bored of it and sometimes fancy a bit of a change. Every now and again I buy a Boots meal deal if I am in town at lunchtime so for my drink option, I either go for an innocent smoothie or water but this time I went for this flavoured water.

When you look at it through the bottle you could mistake it for normal water because it's clear in colour with absolutely no sign of strawberries in the actual liquid. Only when you open the lid does the secret of the hidden strawberries hit you smack, bang, right between your eyes! It's not too strong but there is no mistaking that sweet smell of strawberries!

The water has a subtle taste of strawberries to it and it is such a nice refreshing change to plain old water. It isn't as strong a taste as a strawberry juice that you would make from concentrated liquid but it's definitely there and very nice it is too.

I wouldn't make a habit of buying this particular water due to the fact that it's full of sugar and plain water is always the better option because it's so pure, but for the odd treat it is very nice and I will get around to trying the other flavoured one (lemon and lime) soon.

The only other thing I will say which is what I said in my last volvic review is to be careful about reusing the bottle. There is a warning on the side about reusing and a friend of mine told me that if you use it too much then the chemicals from the plastic can enter into the water.

Summary: A nice treat for the odd occasion

I don't understand the appeal of flavoured waters, they're just like really weak juice, which is awful!
