Advantages: Might appeal to some who dont like water I suppose

Disadvantages: Weak tasting, sugary - whats the point! have water or cordial instead!

As we all surely know by now, you are supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day to keep you hydrated and let your body reap the many benefits of water.

I might not be perfectly healthy (I have my vices!) but I do drink an absolute tonne of water and very rarely anything fizzy or sugary. Occasionally I am partial to a bit of ribena but thats about it.

I have never been tempted by these flavoured waters imagining that they would taste neither here nor there. Also I confess to not seeing the point of them - if you want water, have water - if not, have a cordial!

On a particularly hot day in the office one of my colleagues brought a different flavoured volvic for a few of us in the team. There was Lemon & Lime flavour but I got the Strawberry one and whilst not particularly wanting it I didnt want to appear rude so I drank it....and wont be doing so again!

The best way I can describe the taste is this: You had a drink of cordial, finished it, wanted some water and used the same glass - it tastes like you forgot to wash your glass!

If it was zero calories like water, I could just about see the point, although not for me but for others who perhaps want to increase their fluids but just dont like water. But its not! it contains sugar, preservatives and flavourings!

I believe they do a sugar free version as well but thats not the stuff I tried.

It is just my personal preference but I totally dont see the point of this stuff. For me it remains water or cordial I'm afraid.

Summary: No replacement for good old H2O

So true. Although some of tesco's own flavoured waters can be refreshing, by way of a change.
