Advantages: Not many I can think of
Disadvantages: Strange taste
We all know we should drink plenty of liquids every day, especially water to keep us hydrated and everything working properly but how many of us actually do it? I admit I'm terrible and can sometimes go hours without a drink as I find water so plain and boring, and half the time can never be bothered to trek to the kitchen for tea or coffee.
One way to make it easier to up your fluid intake is by drinking flavoured water, Volvic Touch of Fruit sugar free is an alternative to plain water that contains less than 4 calories per 250ml serving.
My boyfriend used to be obsessed with this stuff and could get through 2 large bottles a day, I have managed to get him to change his ways and drink coffee or diet coke instead as I personally cant stand the stuff and dont want it in the house.
This water is expensive at around 85p per bottle, though you can sometimes get them cheaper on offer in Asda or Tesco. It also has an odd unpleasant aftertaste, rather metalic like that lingers on the tongue for quite a while. Water is meant to be refreshing but I find this water anything but, I often have to drink something else afterwards to quench my thirst properly which defeats the point of buying it in the first place!
I agree with another review of this, dont bother and either drink water, or if you cant face that then drink pure fruit juice or squash instead, it'll probably be better for you as it wont be full of artificial sweeteners like this flavoured water is.
Summary: Drink plain water instead

- 05/02/09 Why would you encourage your other half to drink the much unhealthier coffee or Diet Coke? Water, whether flavoured or not, is the healthiest thing you can drink. |
