A couple of months ago I was given a bottle of Voyant Chai by someone who knows I'm a big fan of Baileys-type drinks. There's just something about a good cream liqueur that makes a girl feel kinda sophisticated, you know? Now, you know most liqueurs are reminiscent of coffee? A lot of them even market themselves as 'coffee flavoured', and this is where Voyant Chai is different. You see, Voyant Chai is made not with coffee beans but with imported black TEA. Yes, I said TEA. Sounds weird, eh? Not to me it didn't, I was intrigued as soon as I saw this drink combines such totally contrasting ingredients as black tea, fine aged rum and Chai spices.
