This beer isn't so cheap; £1.60 for 500ml (just short of the 568ml that equals a pint), but once again, you are paying for quality here and for me it's more than worth paying an extra 30-40p than I would normally for something that is a pleasure to drink and doesn't taste like a chemical weapon! And i'm not one to binge drink anymore (i'm getting too old for that I suppose!), so for me it's money w...more

Warsteiner is a nice and refreshing German pilsner beer which is 4.8%. It seems to have become slightly more popular in the UK within the past few years and is served in quite a lot of bars. It has a soft taste but is by no means as watery as some beers that you can buy in England; at the same time, however, it is not so strong that you will immediately get drunk but it allows you to drink and enjoy quite a few bottles before you will feel any effect. In contrast to many other beers, Warsteiner also goes extremely well with different types of food, and of course especially with meat, but it also tastes very good in conjunction with Italian food such as pizza or lasagne. Its golden colour and its foam which Germans call the "crown" are its particular ...  Read the complete review
