 ... that Oxfordshire Bitter would make an admirable summer beer so long as it isn't chilled too much. I have my list of all time favourites such as Timothy Taylor's Landlord, Cain's Bitter, Fuller's London Pride, Consiton Bluebird, Hogs Back T.E.A. and Shepherd Neame Spitfire and I am more than happy to add hugely flavoursome White Horse Oxfordshire Bitter to this illustrious list. As you will know by now, I like trying new beers whenever I see them. Mostly this is when doing my occasional round of the local supermarket, usually Sainsburys, when I am supposed to be looking for anything but beer. One does just get soooooo distracted though, doesn't one? And so it was that in amongst the vast collection of the familiar and unfamiliar I noticed a bottle of White Horse Oxfordshire Bitter. The predominantly black and white label portrays the familiar picture of the famous bronze age chalk carving found on the hills of the Vale of the White Horse not far from Wantage near the village of Uffington.
